01 / ALUMINIUM AND WINDOW JOINERY

Aluminium profile scrap from joinery and façades

Do you make windows, doors, façades or aluminium structures? Profile offcuts and cut-offs, thermal-break profiles, sheet and hardware are one of the cleanest and most repeatable aluminium streams on the market — and we know it inside out. We price against current market quotations, when needed collect with our own transport on larger loads, and sell straight to smelters and foundries.

02 / WHAT WE TAKE

What we take from aluminium joinery

Aluminium joinery plants generate remarkably repeatable aluminium: the same profile series, the same grade, the same hardware — delivery after delivery. It’s material we price confidently and fast, because we know exactly what comes off the cutting line and the assembly bench. You get paid for an aluminium profile as a profile, not for a blended “aluminium mix”.

We serve window and door manufacturers, stick-system façade contractors and aluminium structure workshops. Whether you hand over a few pallets of offcuts a week or full containers of thermal-break profiles, you get priced for the actual grade — and, when needed, a collection that doesn’t hold up your production.

The most common aluminium streams from profile cutting, assembly and façade production. Not sure of the grade? A photo is enough — we handle the rest.

01

Profile offcuts and cut-offs

Waste from cutting window and structural profiles — one of the cleanest, highest-priced fractions from aluminium joinery.

02

Thermal-break profiles

Profiles with a polyamide (PA) thermal break — we classify them separately and account for the break in the price; you don’t have to knock it out.

03

Coated profiles

Profiles with a lacquer coating — we grade them separately from uncoated ones, because the coating moves the material into a lower grade.

04

Aluminium sheet and flashings

Sheet from metal flashings, window sills and façade cladding — thin, uniform material with a good yield.

05

Hardware and fittings

Hinges, handles and fitting parts — once separated, we settle aluminium and the other metals (brass, steel, zamak) individually.

06

Aluminium turnings and filings

Waste from machining and milling profiles — priced by cleanliness and moisture (emulsion lowers the grade).

03 / COOPERATION & COLLECTION

How we collect material from joinery

A steady stream of offcuts needn’t take up your yard or your time. We agree the terms once, and then collection runs in the background of your production.

Step 0101

Show us the material

Call or send photos of the profiles and offcuts on WhatsApp. The type and a rough quantity are all we need to quote a rate within one business day.

Step 0202

We agree pricing and collection

We price against current market quotations and grade. For repeat deliveries we agree terms up front, while our own transport is arranged individually based on the quantity, material and location.

Step 0303

We weigh and settle

We weigh in front of you on authorised scales, you get the documents appropriate to the delivery and a settlement with no surprises. The material goes straight to smelters and foundries.

05 / FREQUENTLY ASKED

Aluminium joinery — frequently asked questions

Do you have to knock the thermal break out of the profiles before selling?

No, you don’t. Odylion classifies profiles with a polyamide (PA) thermal break as a separate item and accounts for the break in the price, so you don’t have to remove it or bear the cost of that work before delivery.

Does a coated profile settle differently from an uncoated one?

Yes — they are two distinct grades and two rates. An uncoated profile settles higher than a coated one, which is why we separate the two streams on intake. What additionally affects the rate is contamination left behind — steel, plastics and rubber in the material.

What about hardware, hinges and handles taken off the profiles?

They are accepted together with the aluminium. Once the hardware is separated, the aluminium and the other metals — brass, steel and zamak — are settled individually, so the more valuable fraction does not get lost in one mix.

Are profile offcuts and cut-offs good material?

They are one of the cleanest and highest-priced fractions from aluminium joinery. Waste from cutting window and structural profiles is uniform and repeatable, which makes classification easier and shows in the grade of the delivery.

How do you set up regular collection of offcuts from production?

The terms are agreed once: for repeat deliveries they are set up front, while the option of collection with our own transport is agreed individually on the basis of the quantity, type of material and location. Most often the supplier brings the material to a branch.

How long does pricing aluminium profiles take?

The type of material and a rough quantity are enough to quote a rate within one business day. The fastest way is to send photos of the profiles and offcuts via WhatsApp, or to call the branch.
